Publishing on Butterfly
Enodo Semantic integrates with Enodo Butterfly (headless CMS) to publish your articles on one or multiple websites. This guide explains the complete publication process.
First publication
Step 1: Choose a property
- Click on the Publish button in the editor header.
- The property selector appears. A property corresponds to a website or publication in Enodo Butterfly.
- Filter by organization if necessary.
- Search for a property by its name.
- Click on the target property.
Step 2: Configure metadata
The publication dialog box opens with the following fields:
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Content Type | Content categorization in Butterfly. |
| Category | Editorial category of the article. |
| Authors | Authors of the article. |
| Users | Associated Butterfly users. |
| Labels | Editorial markers. |
| Taxonomy Terms | Custom classifications. |
| Custom Fields | Additional metadata defined in Butterfly. |
| Status | Draft, published, etc. |
| Publication Date | Scheduled online date. |
| Private/Public | Article visibility. |
Step 3: Publish
Click on Publish to send the article to Enodo Butterfly.
Automatic media migration
During publication, Semantic automatically migrates your media:
- The featured images are transferred to Enodo Butterfly.
- The inline media (images, videos, audio in blocks) are migrated.
- The gallery items are migrated individually.
Subsequent updates
After the first publication, the Publish button updates the existing article in Butterfly rather than creating a new one. The title, description, canonical URLs, and content are synchronized.
View the published article
After publication, you can access the article on the target site via the permalink displayed in the interface.
